Our preferred sources are automaker pressrooms, NHTSA, EPA, IIHS, government agencies, official recall databases, manufacturer financial reports, and recognized automotive publications.

Every factual article includes a “Sources and Further Reading” section with the organization, title, original publication date, access date, and working link. Broken or missing links are editorial-review issues.

Anonymous and confidential sources

The launch archive does not rely on anonymous sourcing. If that changes, readers receive enough context to understand why anonymity was granted and how the information was corroborated.
